Guthrie Geeks land 4th place at South Central PA Qualifier

18 Jan 2020. The rookie FTC team unexpectedly become the 4th alliance captain in the semi-finals at the South Central PA Qualifier tournament at the Penn State--

York campus. After five ranking matches with various alliance partners, the Guthrie Geeks were in 7th place. Then, they unexpectedly became the 4th alliance captain and had to choose two teams to partner with for the semi-final knockout rounds. At that point, they succumbed to the robotic prowess of their competitors. The team went home elated in spite of their defeat. They never expected to get that far! They have four weeks to improve their robot and try again in Emmaus, PA.
