Kiwanis Club visit

Members of the robotics club visited the Kiwanis Club of Hanover on Thursday, July 18, 2019. Director of the Guthrie Memorial Library, Lisa Kane, and FLL coach, Jay Roth, explained the Hanover Library Robotics Club to the Kiwanis Club members. The robotics students then gave a detailed description of their teams. The “Optic Nerds” FLL team explained details of both the Exo-Glove project and “Vulcan” the Robot, their creations from this years competition. The “Guthrie Geeks” FTC team explained the details of FIRST Tech Challenge and what lies ahead for their rookie season 2019-20.

The Kiwanis Club is an international service organization dedicated to serving youth in their local and worldwide communities. The Hanover Kiwanis chapter is well known for their annual blueberry sale and annual scholarship program for local high school students.
